- Assist attorneys with legal research using tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and iManage to gather pertinent case law, statutes, and regulations across multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, and more.
- Prepare and review legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and accuracy.
- Manage legal case files using document management systems like PCLaw and other electronic filing platforms; ensure all records are organized, up\-to\-date, and easily accessible.
- Conduct thorough document review and proofreading to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with legal standards.
- Support litigation processes by assisting in document review, trial preparation, and maintaining case calendars to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Perform administrative tasks including data entry, filing, scheduling appointments, managing phone etiquette, and providing executive administrative support to attorneys.
- Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses when necessary for case development; document findings accurately for attorney review.
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in a law office environment with familiarity in multiple practice areas such as estate planning, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law \& regulations, patent law or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of legal research tools including Westlaw and LexisNexis; experience with iManage or similar document management systems is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to handle legal case management software like PCLaw efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast\-paced setting.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy.
- Experience in conducting interviews and performing detailed legal research across various practice areas.
- Familiarity with contract review, document review processes, data entry procedures, and clerical tasks such as filing and record keeping.
