About Us

We are a mission\-driven tutoring and education services company expanding into a brand\-new location in Belcamp, MD.

This is not a back\-office role inside a mature organization. This is a ground\-floor opportunity to help build something from scratch — programming, culture, community presence, and systems.

You will work directly with the founder to bring the vision to life locally. That means energy, ideas, follow\-through, and a willingness to figure things out in real time.

If you like being in rooms where things are being created — not maintained — this role is for you.

The Role

The Program Manager / Office Manager is the operational and creative engine of our Belcamp location.

You will oversee day\-to\-day operations of the site while also helping design and launch programming for:

  • After\-school tutoring
  • Weekend enrichment
  • Homeschool families
  • Test prep and small group intensives
  • Seasonal camps or pop\-up workshops
  • This role blends execution and imagination. Some days you’ll be managing schedules, parent communication, and student logistics. Other days you’ll be brainstorming new offerings, building flyers, planning events, or piloting a new idea.

You will work closely with the founder and have real input into what we build.

    Core Responsibilities

    Site Operations

  • Oversee daily operations of the Belcamp location
  • Manage scheduling, student enrollment, and parent communication
  • Ensure the space is organized, welcoming, and running smoothly
  • Coordinate tutors and instructional staff
  • Track attendance, billing coordination, and basic reporting
  • Program Development

  • Collaborate with the founder to design new programs and offerings
  • Research local needs (public school families, homeschoolers, working parents)
  • Pilot small programs and refine them quickly
  • Help create marketing materials and outreach strategies
  • Host or support occasional weekend/community events
  • Family \& Community Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for local families
  • Build relationships with parents, homeschool networks, and community groups
  • Represent the organization at local events or school touchpoints
  • Gather feedback and translate it into better programming
  • Culture \& Energy

  • Set the tone for the space — organized, warm, high\-expectation
  • Solve problems quickly without waiting for perfect instructions
  • Take initiative when something needs improvement
  • Help create a culture that feels both structured and inspiring
  • Who You Are

  • Highly organized but not rigid
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a growing environment
  • Energized by building something new rather than inheriting something established
  • Strong communicator with both parents and educators
  • Creative and entrepreneurial in mindset
  • Solutions\-oriented — when something breaks, you fix it
  • Excited to work closely with a founder and move quickly
  • Bonus (Nice to Have):

  • Experience in tutoring, after\-school programming, homeschool communities, or youth programming
  • Event planning or grassroots marketing experience
  • Comfort using basic tech tools (Google Workspace, scheduling software, Canva, etc.)
  • Interest in designing innovative enrichment programs
  • What This Role Is (and Is Not)

    This role is:

  • Fast\-moving and evolving
  • High ownership and high visibility
  • A chance to shape a brand\-new location
  • A mix of administrative, operational, and creative work
  • Close partnership with the founder
  • This role is not:

  • A quiet, behind\-the\-scenes clerical job
  • A large corporate education role with fixed systems
  • A position where you wait for detailed instructions
  • Repetitive or static
  • Compensation

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Opportunity for growth as the Belcamp location expands
  • Potential for performance\-based bonuses tied to enrollment growth and program success

As the location grows, leadership and compensation opportunities grow with it.

Why This Matters

Opening a new location means we get to design the culture and programming intentionally from day one.

This role will help determine what education support looks like in Belcamp — for working families, homeschool families, and students who need more than what traditional systems provide.

If you want to build something real, locally impactful, and dynamic — let’s talk.
