The Michigan Center for Respiratory Virus Research and Response (CRVRR) and the Michigan Public Health Integrated Center for Outbreak Analytics and Modeling (MICOM) in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Michigan School of Public Health are seeking a highly organized, motivated administrative assistant.
CRVRR and MICOM lead collaborative research projects on respiratory viruses, vaccine effectiveness (influenza, RSV, COVID\-19\), and advanced data analytics for public health, working closely with partners such as the CDC, NIH, and MDHHS. The administrative assistant will support faculty and staff, helping ensure smooth day\-to\-day operations for impactful research studies.
This full\-time role will work with both teams under the direction of Dr. Emily Martin, Dr. Marisa Eisenberg, and Dr. Arnold Monto. Preferred candidates will have prior administrative experience in an academic and/or research setting.
Responsibilities\*
Calendar and Scheduling Management: Provide calendar support to CRVRR/MICOM Co\-Directors. On their behalf, schedule meetings, create event/Doodle polls, manage calendar invitations. Act as a liaison in zoom and other virtual platforms. Coordinate communication and correspondence for faculty leaders.
Faculty Administrative Support: Regularly update Center faculty CVs, NIH biosketches, and COI. Reach out to related faculty and request updated biosketches and other information. Support CRVRR/MICOM faculty and staff with annual merit review document preparation. Coordinate communication and correspondence for faculty leaders.
Travel Coordination and Arrangement: Coordinate the development of itinerary flight schedules and reservations, ground transportation, hotel accommodations, conference registrations and other applicable arrangements, dissemination of travel guidelines and reimbursement process, and completion of travel expense reports. Manage PCard accounts and work with the Program Manager to reconcile monthly. Coordinate reimbursement for conference travel.
CRVRR/MICOM Administrative Support: Order and track supplies, prepare requisitions, purchase orders, non\-PO vouchers, and maintain accurate documentation of financial transactions for review by leadership. Assist with general administrative duties, including creating documents and distributing daily mail and packages. Assist with manuscript preparation and tracking of the publication process.
Event Coordination and Meeting Support: Plan and coordinate events and meetings, which include placing room reservation requests, creating an RSVP form, arranging catering, reserving, setting up, and confirming audio visual equipment, and on\-site troubleshooting on the day of the event problems. Help prepare/distribute agendas, minutes, track action and pending items, and coordinate follow\-up activities.
Other, related tasks at the discretion of the CRVRR/MICOM Directors.

Hybrid: This position allows for a hybrid work schedule. The selected candidate will be expected to work on\-site 3\-4 days per week.

The salary range for the Intermediate level is $43,108 \- $53,251, and the salary range for the Senior level is $50,607 \- $62,514\.
Additional Information
This is a term\-limited appointment that will end one year from the appointment start date, with the potential for an extension depending upon performance and available funding.
