Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by providing administrative support, managing patient records, and assisting with various office tasks. This position requires excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient appointments and scheduling to optimize office workflow.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in coding and processing insurance claims.
- Prepare care plans and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
- Utilize computerized systems for data entry, record keeping, and billing processes.
- Perform office management tasks including inventory management and supply ordering.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional manner.
- Support the medical team with various administrative duties as needed.
- Assisting the physician when needed
- Cleaning exam rooms between patients
- Experience with office management in a medical setting preferred.
- Strong computer skills and fast learning
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Requirements
There will be opportunity for more hours if wanted, along with more responsibility if motivated. Assisting in taking xrays would be a plus as well!
Required hours to start would be 1-5pm Thursdays an 9am-4pm on Fridays (paid lunch).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
