Responsibilities
* Insurance Verification: Verify and process patient insurance information, ensuring coverage for podiatric services.
* Patient Communication: Answer phones, schedule appointments, and communicate with patients regarding reminders, test results, and follow\-ups.
* Collaboration with Staff: Work closely with the provider, medical assistants, and staff across locations to coordinate patient care.
* Virtual Assistant Support: Utilize virtual assistant tools and technology for administrative tasks and scheduling.
* Data Entry \& Records Management: Accurately input patient information into electronic health records (EHR) while maintaining confidentiality.
* Front Office Duties: Greet patients professionally, manage check\-in/check\-out processes, and ensure completion of required forms.
* Administrative Support: Assist with office supplies, filing, and maintaining efficient patient flow.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office setting required
- Familiarity with medical terminology essential
- Experience in medical administrative support preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Prepare patients for examination and assist the provider during procedures
- Record vital signs and document patient information in EHR
- Assist with minor in\-office procedures and treatments
- Maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure proper infection control protocols
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow\-up care
- Support front office duties as needed to ensure smooth workflow
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant required
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Experience with EHR systems
