Overview
We are looking for an experienced, caring and motivated Certified Medical Assistant to join our small family and primary care clinic. In this position, you will support healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks such as checking in and rooming patients, taking vitals, collecting medical history and updating medical records, sending referals and prescriptions and writing chart notes. Your expertise in medical procedures, patient interaction, and healthcare documentation will contribute to our mission of providing compassionate, efficient, and high\-quality care.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program; experience in primary care is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to perform clinical tasks including medication administration, vital signs measurement, specimen collection, and basic X\-ray operation.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding practices, and pharmacology principles.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation and data entry accuracy.
- Computer literacy.
- Excellent communication and customer care skills with a focus on patient service excellence; compassionate approach to diverse patient populations.
