Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Dental Front Office Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. You will handle a variety of administrative tasks, coordinate appointments, verify insurance, and support clinical staff with efficient office management. Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Manage patient check\-in and check\-out processes using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Meditech
  • Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle medical billing using systems like Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks
  • Schedule appointments efficiently while managing multi\-line phone systems and maintaining accurate calendar records
  • Review and update patient documentation, including care plans, medical history, and consent forms
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of patient information and managing medical records securely
  • Assist with insurance verification, CPT coding, ICD\-10/ICD\-9 coding, and documentation review to support accurate billing and reimbursement
  • Maintain office supplies, file documents systematically, and support front desk operations with clerical tasks such as data entry and typing
  • Support clinical staff by coordinating patient intake processes and facilitating communication between patients and providers
  • Skills

  • Proven experience in dental or medical office administration with familiarity in dental terminology and health information management systems
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Meditech, Epic, Athenahealth or similar EMR/EHR systems
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations along with CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD\-10/ICD\-9\), medical billing, and Medicare procedures
  • Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi\-line phone systems professionally
  • Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
  • Experience with insurance verification processes and understanding of medical administrative support functions
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for filing, documentation review, and office management tasks
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast\-paced environment while maintaining high levels of accuracy in all tasks
  • Familiarity with dental terminology such as care plans and clinical procedures is a plus
