We are seeking a detail\-oriented and experienced Payroll and Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. This role is vital in ensuring accurate payroll processing, maintaining financial records, and supporting various accounting functions. Responsibilities
- Manage end\-to\-end payroll processing using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, or Ceridian, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger adjustments in software like QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, or similar financial systems.
- Maintain employee data within HRIS platforms and benefits administration systems; ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice coding and payment processing.
- Support non\-profit accounting functions if applicable, including tracking grants and donations.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations by preparing tax filings and maintaining proper documentation.
- Assist with month\-end closing activities, including account analysis and financial reporting.
- Conduct data entry tasks with high precision, supporting audit preparations and internal controls.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams on benefits administration and other related projects.
- Perform account reconciliation tasks for various accounts such as debits \& credits, bank statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Proven experience in payroll management using platforms such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro.
- Strong background in corporate accounting with proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks or PeopleSoft.
- Knowledge of financial concepts including journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and benefits administration processes.
- Experience handling accounts payable/receivable, tax filings, and governmental accounting is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform data entry accurately (10 key typing skills) and maintain detailed financial records.
- Understanding of non\-profit accounting principles is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills combined with attention to detail to ensure compliance and accuracy across all financial activities.
