Job Summary
We are seeking a detail\-oriented and organized Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in managing financial records, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, and supporting administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting software and financial concepts, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks.
- Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
- Prepare financial reports, including budgeting, financial report writing, and analysis of financial data.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and other relevant accounting principles.
- Handle payroll processing and related tax filings with accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist with governmental accounting requirements and non\-profit accounting procedures as needed.
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry (including 10 key typing), file management, and correspondence.
- Perform month\-end closing activities and assist with audit preparations when required.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within corporate or non\-profit sectors.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, and Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong understanding of financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits \& credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Experience with governmental accounting standards and tax preparation is a plus.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of GAAP compliance standards is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Prior experience in public accounting or technical accounting is advantageous but not required.
