Overview

Bluegrass Mental Health, LLC is seeking an Independent Contractor Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management in our Columbia, MD suburban practice serving working professionals, busy families, and commuters. Hybrid options are contractor’s choice.

This opportunity for clinicians who want the independence of private practice—without having to build the full business infrastructure alone.

We recruit and route patient inquiries to you so you can choose your caseload, while we handle the operational support that keeps your practice running smoothly.

Patient Population / Scope

• Primary focus:
adult outpatient medication management
• Optional (if desired):
children/adolescents within your comfort and experience
• Common outpatient needs include mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, sleep concerns, trauma\-related symptoms, and related conditions (within your scope and clinical judgment).

Responsibilities\-\-Medication Management

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
• Provide ongoing
medication management and follow\-up care
• Develop and update your own treatment plans; monitor outcomes over time
• Educate patients on risks/benefits and coordinate care/referrals as needed
• Complete compliant, timely documentation

• Scheduling systems and operational workflows
• Marketing and practice visibility
• Administrative support for a well\-run patient experience

EHR \+ ePrescribing Flexibility

Bluegrass Mental Health, LLC supports efficient practice operations while respecting contractor independence:

• Use our
company\-endorsed EHR and electronic prescribing system, or
• Use your
own EHR/eRx tools as an independent contractor (must be HIPAA\-compliant and aligned with practice standards)

Qualifications (Required)

• Graduation from an accredited PMHNP Advance Practice Nursing Program

* PMHNP\-BC certification (ANCC)

• Active, unrestricted
APRN license in Maryland
• Prescriptive authority in Maryland

* DEA registration

• Ability to maintain
professional liability insurance
• Strong clinical judgment and comfort practicing independently

Preferred

• Outpatient psychiatry experience (telehealth and/or in\-person)
• Experience treating
pediatric patients (only if you want to include children/adolescents)
• Familiarity with evidence\-based prescribing
• Strong documentation habits and comfort using EHR/telehealth workflows
