- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with consumers, utility executives, stakeholders, and Commission staff.

- Ability to coordinate and process staff travel, including booking arrangements and preparing expense reports in compliance with travel policies.
- Ability to learn, interpret, and apply Commonwealth, Commission, and Bureau policies and procedures to assigned duties.
- Ability to assign, review, and monitor the work of Administrative Assistants, provide training, and ensure adherence to established procedures and performance standards.

The Bureau of Consumer Services is looking for a skilled Administrative Officer to support our mission and keep our operations running efficiently. In this role, you will serve as a central resource for HR coordination, timekeeping, SAP support, and day to day administrative functions that keep the Bureau moving. You will work closely with staff across the organization, assist with hiring and onboarding, maintain key records and systems, and provide high quality administrative support to Bureau leadership.

You will supervise administrative staff, prepare reports and correspondence, coordinate travel and logistics, and serve as a trusted point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Administrative Officer 2 makes independent decisions on daily administrative operations, including resolving timekeeping and SAP issues, correcting payroll errors, organizing Bureau records, assigning work to Administrative Assistants, and ensuring compliance with Commonwealth procedures. The incumbent determines how to address routine personnel documentation, scheduling needs, workflow problems, and inquiries that fall within established policies. Matters involving hiring selections, disciplinary actions, budget changes, interpretation of Commonwealth rules, or issues with legal, ethical, or organizational impact are elevated to the Bureau Director for final decision\-making. The successful candidate is required to report to the headquarters worksite daily, unless the employee meets eligibility requirements and telework has been approved. Management may discontinue any telework arrangement at any time, for any reason. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office.

- One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
