Job Description
The Tactical Solutions (TS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) delivers critical mission system solutions, from highly specialized antennas to diverse electro\-optical technologies, to the warfighter. The successful candidate will perform engineering efforts to establish the basis for the selection, development, evaluation, analysis, testing, and documentation of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) parts to assure performance in circuits, boards, and boxes and meet the requirements of our payloads and missions. You will work with multiple antennas and specialized camera and sensing program teams as the EEE parts and subsystems technical contributor. Your role is to ensure the specified components in engineering and / or defined designs meet the customer’s requirements.

What You'll Do:
- Join a large team of Parts, Reliability, and Radiation Engineers to support design teams in the selection, evaluation, analysis and documentation of Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) parts.
- Be personally mentored and trained one\-on\-one, by two EEE Parts Engineering Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with combined 40 years of industry experience.
- Perform EEE Parts Engineering functions on complex programs using industry proven techniques and principles.
- Create and drive processing and implementation of detailed part drawings and documentation to meet program requirements.
- Handle document management for new components into BAE Systems – Space and Mission Systems (SMS) internal parts libraries.
- Participate in Parts Control Board (PCB) discussions with internal and external customers.
- Perform reviews of supplier performance data across multiple programs as needed.
- Collaborate with the diverse and broad program engineering SMEs to inform the selection of commercial\-off\-the\-shelf (COTS) EEE parts and the military specification (MIL\-SPEC) flight equivalent upgrades.
- Learn to review technical reports and other data from third party analytical laboratories regarding very specific aspects of critical EEE parts following MIL\-STD\-1580, MIL\-STD\-750, MIL\-STD\-883, and MIL\-STD\-202\.
- Participate in BAE \- Space and Mission System’s (SMS) Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) processes by assessing program impact of any high risk EEE parts through obsolescence analysis and market availability.
- Assist Design Engineering and Supply Chain Management with part and vendor selections.
- Leverage use of company standard parts library across program and product classes.
- Generate customer facing Non\-Standard Part Approval Requests (NSPAR’s).
- Write and present reports documenting analysis and anomaly results.
- Use solid presentation skills to convey design risks at program meetings and milestone reviews.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
- Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
- BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 2 or more years related experience.
- Each higher\-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Knowledge of electrical component performance requirements, technical data sheets and drawings, test board designs, test and analytical facilities, and statistical data analysis is required.
- Experience with and knowledge of defense industry manufacturers and suppliers of EEE parts and integrated sub\-systems is required.
- Knowledge of semiconductor and device physics in electronics is required.
- Experience with product lifecycle management system is required.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- Knowledge of EEE\-INST\-002 parts classification requirements is preferred.
- Knowledge of electronics manufacturing and associated quality assurance (QA) processes is preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable industry and / or academic practices and standards governing QA of EEE parts and electronic systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of electronics test and circuit design capability is preferred.
On\-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in\-person engagement by working on\-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non\-company locations may be required.

Pay Information
Full\-Time Salary Range: $79365 \- $134921

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
