Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Baseball and Softball Camp Director to lead our youth camps focused on baseball and softball skills development. In this role, you will promote our camp programs, schedule camp programs, and participate as an instructor. Coordinate with administrative staff to handle registration, scheduling, and communication with parents or guardians.
You would NOT be expect to be the lead instructor, who runs the actual camp activity, although with the demonstrated skill to do so you would not be held back. Initially, at least, this position is expected to participate as an assistant instructor only. Initially, at least, this position will be focused on promotion, managing, and organizing the camp schedule. And coordinating with our Wa non\-profit corporation administration staff.
Having played and or coaches baseball or softball at the high school varsity level is highly preferred.
Camp participants will range from 6 to 12 years old.
This is a developing position such that the number of hours per week will grow over time and for the right individual would develop into a full time salaried position. Our salaried positions enjoy paid time off, 401k matching, and health care benefits.
Expectations
- Able to work a flexible schedule such that initially this position might be ideal for a college student, a part time teacher, or a para instructor with extra time in teh summer.
- Coordinate with administrative staff to handle registration, scheduling, and communication with parents or guardians.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth among all participants.
- Evaluate program effectiveness regularly and implement improvements to enhance camper experience.
- Prior involvement in coaching or instructing baseball or softball at any level is desirable.
- Having played baseball or softball at the high school varsity level is also desirable.
