Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of residential or commercial properties. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth management of property leasing, maintenance, tenant relations, and compliance with housing regulations. Duties
- Manage all aspects of property leasing, including marketing units, conducting tours, and negotiating lease agreements to maximize occupancy rates.
- Oversee property maintenance and facilities management, coordinating repairs and inspections to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate data entry and filing of tenant records, lease agreements, maintenance logs, and legal documents using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, LIHTC (Low\-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other applicable legal requirements.
- Handle landlord\-tenant law issues with transparency and professionalism, resolving conflicts through negotiation and effective communication.
- Conduct regular inspections to monitor property conditions, coordinate repairs, and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Develop strong customer relationships through exceptional service, upselling available amenities or lease options to prospective tenants while maintaining excellent phone etiquette.
- Extensive knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing regulations, Fair Housing laws, and landlord\-tenant law.
- Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi or OneSite for data entry, reporting, and tenant management.
- Strong legal administrative experience including contracts, lease agreements, and compliance documentation.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on conflict management and negotiation techniques.
- Office experience combined with administrative skills such as filing, data entry, phone etiquette, and document management.
- Familiarity with property maintenance procedures and facilities management practices using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Ability to upsell amenities or lease options effectively while maintaining positive tenant relationships.
