Responsibilities

  • Process payroll using various software platforms such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, and other HRIS systems to ensure accurate employee compensation.
  • Perform data entry and account reconciliation tasks related to payroll transactions, benefits administration, and tax filings.
  • Manage payroll\-related accounting activities including journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and double\-entry bookkeeping to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Maintain detailed records of payroll data, employee hours, benefits enrollments, and tax information while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Collaborate with human resources to process new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and benefit changes efficiently.
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes related to payroll expenses and vendor payments.
  • Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with payroll management software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles including general ledger accounting, debits \& credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with financial concepts related to corporate accounting, governmental accounting, non\-profit accounting, and tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software like QuickBooks or other bookkeeping tools for data entry and financial tracking.
  • Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex payroll data accurately.
  • Experience with benefits administration processes and HRIS systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail combined with effective communication skills to collaborate across departments.
