Compensation Range: $87,000 \- $92,000 yearly commensurate with experience.

Overview:
The Housing Works Emergency \& Transitional Housing Program (ETH) provides time limited transitional housing and support services to individuals reentering the community following periods of incarceration or other justice system involvement. Program participants engage in a variety of onsite services, including case management, vocational training, housing advocacy and mental health support that address barriers to accessing housing in the community and help build skills that participants can use to achieve and maintain stable functioning in the community.
The Assistant Director of Operations for the Emergency and Transitional Housing (ETH) Program provides centralized administrative and operational oversight of the operations services and processes across the three program sites located in Queens, NY, including supervision of operations leadership staff, maintaining compliance with internal and external standards, facilitating team meetings, engaging in talent acquisition and professional development activities and assisting with implementing and maintaining systems and processes to promote program efficiencies. - Other functions that may be required with this position include:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in social services, psychology, social work or other related field.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years experience providing supervision and leading teams.
- Experience with criminal justice involved population, as well as substance use and mental health issues.
- Strong written documentation and communication skills
- Good problem\-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
- Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, required
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOC clearance.
- Experience utilizing EMR systems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent or proficient technical skills to perform tasks related to Microsoft Office, email and case management systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team.
- Dependability and reliability to arrive and depart timely for scheduled shift.
+ Oversee day\-to\-day operations of the ETH Program.
+ Collaborate with other program leaders to develop and implement program policies, procedures and workflows that promote optimal program functioning and promote achievement of program goals and objectives.
+ Provide direct supervision to the Operations Managers and Senior Program Coordinator.
+ Ensure all operations team members receive recurring, consistent supervision.
+ Conduct 90 day and annual performance evaluations and lead disciplinary action as needed.
+ Engage in hiring and recruitment activities to ensure appropriate staffing.
+ Coordinate with HR to ensure job descriptions are clear, concise and participate in recruitment and advertising campaigns.
+ Facilitate and identify ongoing professional development trainings for all ETH Program staff.
+ Ensure professional development plans are included in the supervision model.
+ Conduct individualized training refreshers as needed.
+ Assist with the development of robust onboarding trainings for the various operations positions.
+ Work with the Director, and senior program leadership, to implement process for collecting and reporting program performance data.
+ Work closely with the Assistant Director of Services to promote interdisciplinary teamwork and accomplish shared goals.
+ Ensure the program operations processes align with internal, external and governing body standards.
+ Coordinate with vendors, hotel management and operations leads to ensure building maintenance, repairs and conditions meet program and external standards.
+ Lead vendor management and service bids as needed.
+ Collaborate with teams across the sites to implement and monitor processes that promote increased safety, security and well\-being.
+ Work closely with the Assistant Director of Services, and teams across the sites, to implement events and services available to participants that promote positive community building. (Examples: client events, group level interventions, community meetings, etc.)
+ Oversees the operations\-related budget items and overtime expenses across the three program sites.
+ Participates in budget review and dynamic budgeting activities.
+ Attend and promote engagement in required advocacy activities.
+ Adhere to remote workforce policies, procedures and protocols.
+ Display Housing Works core values in all day\-to\-day activities.
