Description:
The Development Operations Assistant will provide key administrative and operational support that helps the Development team reach its fundraising goal and advance SBP’s vital work. The Development Operations Assistant will play an important role in ensuring a positive donor experience by executing accurate and timely gift processing for a $40M\+ disaster response and recovery organization that makes a lasting impact on thousands of lives. This position is ideal for someone who is highly detail\-oriented, organized, and curious—someone who asks thoughtful questions, spots inconsistencies, and enjoys building strong systems.
As the central hub for gift entry and donor acknowledgements, you will support fundraising across all giving channels (individual, foundation, and corporate), maintain data integrity in our CRM (Salesforce), and help keep the Development and Finance teams in sync. This position is a hybrid role, requiring a regular in\-office presence with remote work options, with opportunities to grow your skills in CRM management, donor stewardship, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Complete detailed data entry for all incoming gifts and pledges using Salesforce (checks, cash, credit cards, securities, gifts\-in\-kind, matching gifts and payroll deductions).
- Maintain donor and gift data integrity by reviewing records regularly for accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile donations from third\-party giving sites like Benevity, Network for Good, Cyber Grants, etc.
- Support reconciliation of gifts and grants with Finance on a monthly basis.
- Promptly notify relevant Development team members of major and/or important gifts.
- Update and proofread constituent records with biographical and contact information changes as needed.
- Prepare grant intake forms and schedule meetings for key stakeholders.
- Monitor and process incoming mail and ensure all physical and electronic gifts are processed quickly and securely.
- Draft, prepare, and mail weekly and monthly acknowledgments for monetary \& in\-kind donations.
- Generate and independently modify as needed, weekly and monthly donation and constituent reports to support overall team goals.
- Support Sr. Dev Ops Mgr to build clean, targeted lists for fundraising campaigns, reports, and events within Salesforce.
- Collaborate closely with Finance and Development teams to ensure shared accuracy of revenue records.
- Maintain confidentiality of all donor data and uphold the highest standards of data security.
- Assist with other administrative and data\-related projects as needed.
- Ability to prioritize during high\-volume periods (disaster season, year end campaign, etc).
Requirements:
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
Experience: 1\-3 years experience in development, fundraising, or a related professional experience.
