Nestled in the vibrant arts corridor of the Mid\-Hudson Valley, the historic Rosendale Theatre is a beloved 200\-seat venue that serves as a cultural heartbeat for Ulster County and beyond. Operated by the Rosendale Theatre Collective (RTC), the theater presents an eclectic mix of independent and classic cinema, live theatre, music, and community events year\-round. As one of the last surviving independent arthouse theatres in New York State, RTC plays a vital role in keeping the arts accessible, diverse, and rooted in community.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative administrative office assistant. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone passionate about the intersection of arts, community, and nonprofit leadership. The admin will work hand\-in\-hand with the Managing Director, in turn working collaboratively with members of the Collective such as the staff, volunteers, committees and with a highly engaged Board of Directors.
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing essential clerical and organizational support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our organization and must thrive in a hands\-on role where you will be responsible for multiple tasks. Competency with Word, Excel, and WordPress is a must. Proficiency in graphic design is equally important.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Managing Director
- Website administration, provide daily programming/calendar updates
- Membership coordinator
- Donor coordinator, using development software, Little Green Light
- On\-call coverage on some nightly/weekend shifts
- Data entry into QuickBooks Accounting software
- Social Media coordinator
- files and archives
- assists in grant writing and reporting
- assists in fundraising events and coordination
- assists with online technical needs
- assists in the creation of annual reports and contractual documentation for theater rentals
- Assist in the distribution and proofreading of newspaper print ads and press releases
- Inventory and ordering office supplies
