Position: Finance Intern
Job Summary
The Finance Intern is a member of Boyd’s Corporate Finance team. This position's primary responsibility is performing various accounting and clerical work for the Corporate Finance Department.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining accurate finance records, including scanning and filing.
- Complete daily transactions.
- Perform weekly check runs and reconciliations.
- Maintain onsite and offsite record retention for Accounting and all related areas.
- Assist with month\-end closing procedures as needed.
- Continued process improvements.
- Assist with routine audits (i.e., 401k, Workers Compensation).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Enrolled in a four\-year university with a declared major in finance, business, or related field.
- Students already enrolled in advanced level courses – Preferred.
- Proficient with MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and use of a PC.
- Experience in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality at all times.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good analytical and decision\-making skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work based on business needs.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, to prioritize and work in a multi\-tasked environment.
- Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities under minimal supervision.
- Must be able to follow directions and work in a team environment.
- Must be able to sit at a desk in for 6\-8 hours daily.
