Position Overview

Legend Networking \& Telecom is a rapidly growing healthcare technology company specializing in Dental and Medical IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, managed IT services, server environments, cloud technologies, and nationwide technology deployments.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Onboarding Systems Administrator to join our operations team. This position is responsible for onboarding new managed IT clients, implementing secure network infrastructures, deploying backup and cybersecurity solutions, assisting with server migrations, performing remote network discoveries, and providing sales recommendations for hardware and software upgrades within healthcare technology environments.

This is a senior\-level technical role requiring strong systems administration, networking, server, virtualization, and customer communication experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Managed IT Client Onboarding

Onboard new clients into Legend Networking’s Managed IT Services platform

Configure and deploy remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools

Install and configure antivirus, patch management, and remote support software

Work directly with clients during onboarding and transition processes

Backup \& Disaster Recovery

Install and configure NAS backup appliances

Set up encrypted onsite and offsite backup solutions

Configure backup scheduling, monitoring, and restoration procedures

Assist with Veeam backup implementation and maintenance

Network \& Security Infrastructure

Install, configure, and replace firewall/VPN routers

Configure VPN access, remote desktop services (RDP), and terminal services

Set up secure remote access for end users and third\-party vendors

Troubleshoot network connectivity, routing, switching, and firewall issues

Perform remote network discovery assessments for new and existing clients

Provide sales recommendations for hardware and software upgrades based on network assessments and client needs

Server \& Systems Administration

Assist with Windows Server migrations and upgrades

Work alongside System Administrators on VMware ESXi environments

Support Active Directory environments and Group Policy configurations

Perform server maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting

Assist with data migrations from legacy systems to new server environments

Microsoft 365 \& Cloud Administration

Configure and deploy Microsoft 365 environments

Set up Azure Active Directory integrations

Configure email encryption and security policies

Assist with Microsoft licensing and tenant management

Technical Support \& Coordination

Troubleshoot third\-party healthcare and dental software applications

Coordinate with field technicians and project management teams

Provide escalated technical support for onboarding\-related issues

Maintain documentation of client environments, credentials, backups, and configurations

Required Qualifications

Minimum 6\+ years of Systems Administration or Network Administration experience

Strong experience with Windows Server environments

Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy

Experience with firewall, VPN, switching, and routing technologies

Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure administration

Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

VMware ESXi experience

Veeam backup experience

Healthcare or Dental IT experience

HIPAA compliance knowledge

Experience working within MSP (Managed Service Provider) environments

Pay: $64,013\.54 \- $77,091\.57 per year
