Duties

  • Manage day\-to\-day bookkeeping tasks using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Perform reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data.
  • Prepare and process journal entries, accounts payable and receivable, and handle accounts reconciliation to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee payroll functions, including calculating wages, deductions, taxes, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and analyze accounts to identify discrepancies or errors for prompt resolution.
  • Generate detailed financial reports and assist in budgeting processes to support organisational planning.
  • Great with printing and faxing.
  • Requirements

  • Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with financial software is essential.
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including double\-entry bookkeeping, debits \& credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.
  • Knowledge of non\-profit accounting practices is a plus; experience with governmental accounting is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform account analysis, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing procedures and tax regulations related to employee compensation.
  • Excellent attention to detail along with proficiency in 10\-key typing for data entry accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly through financial report writing and documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently within deadlines.
