EdiPhy Advisors, a leading provider of knowledge\-based services to the healthcare industry, is currently recruiting for an onsite part\-time Clinical Administrative Assistant. This position reports to our Director of Physician Service Operations.
Duties may include:
- Support our staff and clients by logging, imaging and indexing complex medical records.
- Work with legal, clinical and management staff to organize and provide information for internal and external use.· Obtains requests for clinical review/level of care recommendations and reviews for adequate/legible data, organizes information based on established processes.
- Enters review in the appropriate system for PCR/PA review. Verifies facility admission status.
- Monitors/updates logs and status reports. Follows up of reviews in hold/denied for lack of information status. Answer incoming calls and communicates with contracted entity(s) following confidentiality policy to: i) discuss any additional information needed to process the request ii) advise status of review in process
- Schedules time sensitive hearings with Physician Reviewers , adjusting work flow in order to ensure turnaround times are met.
- Daily coordination to ensure all turnaround times are met per contract agreements.
- Accepts responsibility for data entry of patient demographic data and provider selection through accurate editing and analysis
- Performs data entry in the confidential, password protected contracted entity(s) system and/or proprietary data base system.
- Review daily work queues and transition between tasks to support client needs throughout the day.
- Identifies system problems and recommends solution to supervisor or the Director of Physician Service Operations
- Directs clinical information to licensed staff for medical necessity reviews/completion of PAS review case for PCR/PA review. Refers calls to licensed staff for clinical discussions with case managers.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with staff and clients both to provide and receive information.
- Make outbound calls and emails to complete and close case submissions.
- Supports our services by embracing standards of excellence and participating in quality assurance checks in a timely manner and communicating and coordinating feedback with our team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Work in a variety of systems and be able to organize, file, array and store electronic data with ease
- Be able to process and prioritize a high volume of work with accuracy and in accordance with company standards
- Be committed to compliance and excellence.
- Reflect a courteous, respectful and positive attitude in interactions with others.
- Have excellent written, verbal, technical, scheduling and data charting skills.
- Medical records experience a plus.
- Bachelors degree required.
