Responsibilities

Working within the commercial cleaning retail sector you will be responsible for a range of cleaning tasks, these responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• General cleaning of the retail site;
• Collection of waste from designated waste stations;
• Maintaining wet floor areas, including common areas and toilets;
• Implementing wet weather procedures / displaying wet floor or hazard signage / report hazards and incidents / implementing spillage procedures;
• Comply with hygiene policies and procedures / comply with infection control policies and procedures;
• Reporting of any maintenance requirements;
• Ensuring all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly;
• Using appropriate chemicals for cleaning purposes ensuring safe work practices are maintained.
  
  

To ensure success in this role we anticipate that the successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• Experience working in a high paced environment '€“ retail cleaning;
• Previous window cleaning experience;
• A good eye for detail;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and confidence in communicating with people from diverse backgrounds;
• Customer service experience, working with the general public;
• Machinery experience (ride-on scrubbers, ride-on sweepers, buffers etc);
• Reliable, punctual and well presented;
• Ability to work alone and part of a team;
• Flexible full-time/part-time shifts available '€“ day, evening and weekends;
• Own transport preferred as public transport is limited;
• Must have current police check;
