Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews
- Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA guidelines and aseptic techniques
- Manage IV infusions, catheterizations, wound suturing, and tube feedings with precision and care
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and patient data management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care settings like ICU, trauma centers, or emergency rooms to develop and implement care plans
- Perform diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing and basic diagnostic assessments
- Educate patients and families on health coaching, medication administration, discharge planning, and chronic disease management
- Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU, or surgical units
- Critical care experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers preferred
- Skilled in managing acute pain, infectious disease care, trauma medicine, or hospice \& palliative medicine
- Experience with ICD\-10/ICD\-9 coding, medical documentation standards (NCQA), and CPT coding is advantageous
- Familiarity with specialties like cardiology (cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology (including laser treatments), geriatrics (memory care \& long\-term care), pediatrics (neonatal ventilator \& Toddler care), behavioral health, or occupational health enhances your candidacy
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques in sterile processing or operating room settings is essential
- Prior work with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays in home \& community care environments is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to perform venipuncture, phlebotomy, IV insertions, and specimen collection with accuracy
