Marketing & Operations Assistant (Part-Time 1099 Contractor)

Glasgow Investments is an independent, boutique investment firm specializing in 1031 Exchanges and private/alternative investments. I help affluent investors reduce taxes, enhance returns, and manage risk through sophisticated, non\-traditional strategies often overlooked by mainstay financial firms.

I am seeking a motivated, creative, and detail\-oriented professional to join us on a part\-time 1099 contractor basis (initially \~20 hours per week). This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow with a growing firm. Hours and days are flexible/negotiable, but 2\-4 evenings per month are required for on\-site client marketing and prospecting events.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing (Primary Focus – Extensive \& Hands\-On)

• Edit and optimize YouTube videos to build a best\-in\-class channel focused on alternative investments (alts), private placements, and related financial strategies.
• Help source and edit TV appearances, podcasts, and radio interviews.
• Build out and enhance the company website (glasgowinvestments.com).
• Create and schedule daily social media posts across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Coordinate monthly prospecting and client appreciation events.
• Manage and coordinate marketing email campaigns.

Operations (Initial Support Role)

• Answer phones and assist with client inquiries.
• Process paperwork and handle basic administrative tasks.

Growth Opportunity

This role is designed to expand with the business. Based on performance, attitude, and client interactions, the position can grow into a full\-time Marketing \& Operations Director role. For the right candidate with the drive and qualifications, there is also a clear path to become a licensed financial advisor within the firm.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong video editing skills (YouTube, podcasts, etc.) and experience with content creation tools.
• Proficiency with website development/updates
• Social media management experience (FB, IG, LinkedIn).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects.
• Professional demeanor suitable for client\-facing events.
• Interest in finance, investments, or alternative assets is a big plus.
• Reliable transportation for occasional evening events in the DFW area.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position to start. Competitive hourly rate based on experience. Opportunity for increased hours and full\-time transition as the business grows.
