Position Summary:This is an entry\-level role The Instructor Assistant provides essential support to instructors by assisting with classroom preparation, student engagement, and administrative tasks. They help facilitate lessons, monitor student progress, and ensure a well\-organized learning environment. This role enhances the overall educational experience by providing hands\-on support to both instructors and students.
About the Role:
This is a full\-time, hybrid position working 40 hours a week, 8:00 am \- 4:00 pm EST, and may require work on some evenings and weekends. You are required to live in the state of Indiana for this position. Reports to: Director of Administration and Human Resources; Bridgette Houska
Responsibilities:
Classroom \& Curriculum Support:
- Assist in preparing lesson materials and classroom activities.
- Monitor student participation and provide support as needed.
- Take attendance and keep student records up to date.
- Supervise students during activities, labs, or group work.
- Manage student gradebook, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Track and manage student attendance records, including call\-ins, no\-shows, and reschedules.
- Maintain and update the class roster as students enroll.
- Assist in managing student internship placements and scheduling.
- Build and maintain relationships with high school partnerships.
- Communicate with students, school administration, and counselors regarding any challenges.
- Oversee attendance, answer questions, and provide assistance to the instructor during classes.
- Cover classes when the instructor is unavailable to ensure continuity and student progress.
- Follow up with students to collect necessary documentation, forms, and assignments.
- Provide one\-on\-one or small\-group assistance to students.
- Reinforce lessons by reviewing material with students.
- Assist with grading assignments, quizzes, and tests.
- Track student progress and report to the instructor.
- Assist in demonstrating skills or procedures, if applicable.
- Maintain and organize student files and documentation.
- Help manage online learning platforms and student submissions.
- Prepare and distribute educational materials or handouts.
- Assist in scheduling meetings, parent\-teacher conferences, or events.
- Communicate with students and parents as needed.
- Although instruction is delivered primarily via Zoom, all instructors and assistants are required to attend several in\-person events. These include, but are not limited to, orientation, Skills Day, course\-specific conferences, student visits, and various school functions.

- Ability to cover classes and provide instructional support when necessary.

- Ability to work effectively and efficiently independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to pass a background check
