Position Title: Legal Assistant / Paralegal \-\- PART\-TIME to FULL\-TIME Available

Position Summary
Our law firm is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail\-oriented Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support attorneys in the areas of personal injury, estate planning, and criminal defense. This position combines administrative, customer service, intake, scheduling, and substantive legal responsibilities, including client communication, case management, legal document preparation, and litigation support.
The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, able to multitask in a fast\-paced environment, and committed to providing exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication with clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts, and vendors
- Answer incoming calls, respond to emails, and assist with client inquiries
- Conduct client intake interviews and gather necessary documentation and information
- Schedule consultations, hearings, depositions, mediations, court appearances, and client meetings
- Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, reminders, and appointments
- Prepare, draft, proofread, and file legal documents, pleadings, motions, correspondence, and discovery
- Assist attorneys with case management from intake through resolution
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings
- Assist with trial preparation, exhibits, and document organization
- Support personal injury cases by gathering medical records, bills, and insurance information
- Assist with estate planning document preparation, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents
- Support criminal defense matters through discovery organization, court filings, and client communication
- Assist with e\-filing in state and federal courts
- Perform general administrative duties, including scanning, mailing, data entry, and document management
- Maintain confidentiality of all client and firm information
- Prior legal assistant, paralegal, or law office experience preferred
- Experience in personal injury, estate planning, or criminal defense is strongly preferred
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time\-management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software
- Knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and filing requirements
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail
- Paralegal certificate or legal studies background preferred
- Experience with e\-filing systems, calendaring software, and client intake procedures
- Familiarity with medical records and insurance claims
- Bilingual skills are a plus
